The 4×4 Wood Base is used with dock systems that rely on 4×4 wooden legs for support. They are usually installed flush with the bottom of the 4×4 wooden leg. However, for extra stability, the end of the 4×4 leg can be cut at an angle and attached to the wood base approximately 6-12 inches above the 4×4 end.
To install, drive the 4×4 leg into the lake bottom until the base comes in contact with the lake bottom.
The 4×4 wood base should be paired with 4×4 wood side brackets that secure the wooden legs to the dock.
